2007 MAY BE AS EXCITING AS 2006 WAS FOR OSOYOOS

All of us at the Osoyoos Times want to wish everyone in town a Happy New Year and all the best for 2007.
We are in the fascinating position here at the newspaper of being able to watch most of the events and activities in Osoyoos from a close vantage point, as they unfold week in and week out throughout the year.
So we think we have some credibility when we say that 2006 proved to be an exciting 12 months for our lovely berg at the south end of the Okanagan Valley.
As you'll see from the extensive review of news items from the past year in the pages of today's paper, there were many good developments and a few bad ones in 2006 “ and they all added up to a year of growth and progress for our town.
All that has set the stage for 2007 to be at least as entertaining a year, and perhaps even more so than this past one.
One event we're excited about is the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Osoyoos Times, coming up on January 28.
It's been quite a ride for Osoyoos over the past 60 years, and we look forward to continuing to cover events over the next year and reporting them faithfully to you in these pages.
