Police in Osoyoos are once again reminding the public to be responsible in helping reduce property crime.
Early Monday morning, the Osoyoos RCMP responded to a theft of a 1992 Ford F150 pickup truck from a residence on Cottonwood Drive. The keys had been left in the ignition, Sgt. Jason Bayda said.
The truck was located on Wednesday, with the keys still in the ignition.
A suspect has not been identified and due to the condition of the interior of the vehicle, police were unable to gather forensic evidence.
“It appears this was a crime of opportunity and very easily could have been avoided had the vehicle been left secured,” Bayda said.
