Once again the conference rooms at the Watermark Beach Resort were packed with women on Saturday as the Osoyoos Soroptimists held their “Winter Wonderland Fashion Show,” one of two they do each year as fundraisers. The shows feature products from women’s local clothing stores.
The fundraiser helps the Soroptimists in their community work, which includes funding school bursaries, the Safeteen program at high schools and the women’s shelter at Desert Sun Counselling and Resource Centre. The Soroptimists have been in Osoyoos for more than 30 years and the women’s service club focuses on programs for women and girls.
