A large gathering of enthusiastic women filled the conference room at the Watermark Beach Resort for the annual Osoyoos Soroptimist Spring Fashion Show.
The event is one of two major fundraisers the Soroptimists do to support their community work, which includes funding student bursaries, the Safeteen program at high schools and the women’s shelter at Desert Sun, said Shirley Corley-Rourke, who does publicity for the Soroptimists.
The other big fundraiser is the fall fashion show that comes in November.
The women had a fun time, dancing to music and coaxing up Matt Marple to shake his hips. Marple’s role was to lead the models onto the stand.
