Destination Osoyoos welcomed visitors the the grand opening of the Osoyoos Visitor Centre Saturday, April 7. It was actually a bit of a homecoming. DO left the visitor centre five years ago to come downtown when the visitor centre was run by the province. DO returned in November, but they waited until April to celebrate — now that they’re reorganized and ready for the tourist season. DO served hot dogs and cake and a couple wineries and a distillery served tastings. But the highlight was a ceremonial dance by Dyawen Louis, an interpreter with the Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre.
