The Osoyoos Firefighters Society has answered the call by the OSS Senior Girls Volleyball Team for help as they travel to the BC Provincial Tournament in Castlegar and Nelson with a donation of $500 to help with their travel and accommodation costs.
The Society noted that with the start of every school year, students take part in local athletics programs honing their skills both individually and together in teams. “It’s truly a sight to behold, watching each student rise above the challenge,” the OFS said.
“In cases like these, where teamwork and dedication have earned students the unique privilege of competing at the highest level, the cost of sending teams away can make the difference in which teams are able to compete.
“We are so pleased to report that we have been able to donate $500 to help with their travel and accommodation costs. We wish them the best of luck in their fight for the provincial title. Go Rattlers Go!”
