
Laurel Elizabeth Cooke
March 3, 1931 – June 2, 2024
Laurel Elizabeth Cooke (nee Cromie) passed away in the early morning of June 2nd, 2024. She had suffered from dementia for a number of years.
Laurel was pre-deceased by her husband, Ayton, and two brothers, David and Ken and her twin sister, Beryl (Shave).
Laurel is survived by her brother, Robert (Bob) and her three daughters, Lynn (Roger), Jackie (Brian) and Judy (Mike), and grandchildren, Meaghan, Jeffrey, Devon, Olivia, Jake, Janel and James.
Laurel was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, and after she married Ayton, they relocated to Regina. Some years later, they moved to BC, first living in Delta, then Kamloops and finally Oliver.
Laurel was always active in her church and charity work, spending many hours at the Gleaners and the local hospital thrift shop.
Donations accepted for McKinney Place. A special place is in our hearts for the people who looked after Laurel these past few years.
An inurnment service will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday June 24, 2024 at the Oliver Municipal Cemetery Columbarium.
