May 30, 1932 – May 31, 2024

On Friday May 31, 2024, Frank (Xavier) Baier passed away peacefully at the Kelowna General Hospital at the age of 92. He celebrated his 92nd birthday on May 30th, 2024 surrounded by family in person and video.

He has gone home to be with his predeceased wife, Emma Baier who passed away on May 30th, 2014.

Frank will be fondly remembered by his loving family including son, Peter Baier (Carol Chow); daughter, Elizabeth Unger (Terry Shirran); grandchildren, Justin Unger, Brandon Unger (Samantha Desbrisay) and their father, Jake Unger as well as many extended family and friends.

Frank was a custom cabinet maker who learned his trade in Germany as a young man. In Osoyoos, he spent many years working at Border Sash & Door before retiring at 65. He wasn’t much of a traveler but he made sure that he visited his family in Germany plus attended school reunions at least every five years.

Frank was always busy either golfing, hunting, fishing or camping. He also danced every Saturday in Oliver with wife Emma.

A graveside service will be officiated by Fr. Peter Tompkins at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery, 9200 – 176th Avenue, Osoyoos, BC at 11:00 am, Monday, June 24, 2024.
