Osoyoos Fire Rescue (OFR) responded to “smoke showing” on Bull Pine Road east of The Cottages on Osoyoos Lake, on Monday, Apr. 7 just after 11 a.m.
The OFR responded with four trucks and 10 personnel to the emergency call.
The OFR said that on arrival of the first truck, firefighters came upon a burn pile that had extended towards a structure.

“Due to the limited access two trucks and six members attended and were able to get a quick knock on the fire,” the OFR said in a social media post.
Firefighters stayed on scene until BC Wildfire Crews arrived and assisted them with overhaul.
Crews cleared the scene and were back in service by 3:45 p.m.
