Water restrictions in Oliver have been lifted based on data from two observation wells.

Oliver’s stage-one water restrictions, which have been in place for the town since May of 2024, have been rescinded.

Town council made the decision at their Oct. 7 2024 town council meeting.

The observation wells 405 and 407 are at normal operating conditions and show that water restrictions are no longer needed.

The lifting of these restrictions also comes along with the decision for the town to declare that no drought stage is required.

Rockcliffe Well will also not be operating as of October 14 for various upgrades, maintenance and investigations into its condition until January.

The report to council explains that all other wells that the town uses are in normal operating ranges and will be able to provide an adequate water supply with Rockcliffe offline.
