The Osoyoos Fire Rescue celebrated Firefighters Basic and Grant on Tuesday night for successfully completing their NFPA 1001 training program.

The OFR congratulated them saying the are now part of the “1001s” and welcome to the club!”

The NFPA 1001, Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications is a field essential to help ensure firefighters are up to the serious challenges they face every day on the job.  The standard identifies the minimum job performance requirements for career and volunteer firefighters whose duties are primarily structural in nature.

The fire department also celebrated Firefighter Bartlett, who has completed his probation period.  “Congratulations to each of you!”
