For 19 year old Christine Coulombe the ongoing exhibit of her works at Wayside Select Books & Art represents her very first official gallery show.
Raised in the Okanagan and having lived in Osoyoos for the past six years, Coulombe credits her homeschooling for enabling her to experience a wide variety of things.

It also allowed her to pursue those that interested her. “One of those is expressing myself through art,” she says.
“A few years back through an Oliver art club I was encouraged to try new mediums and styles. I also received critique from professional artists, which helped me see my work better.”
After dabbling in various mediums she says she fell in love with watercolours. “I’ve had so much fun and my proudest work so far is in this medium.
“My goal is to keep learning and bringing forward the beauty I see around me, especially the very simple moments of life,” she said.
