The ever-popular “Movie and an Expert” is returning to the Osoyoos Desert Centre in February, the first time since Feb. 2020 just prior to the COVID-19-induced global shutdown.
The event returns with the multiple award-winning film, “Geographies of Solitude,” along with special guest, writer and ecologist Don Gayton.
Geographies of Solitude is an immersive exploration of the rich ecosystem of Sable Island. Guided by naturalist Zoe Lucas the film leads viewers among wild horses, seals and bugs, through peaks, valleys, roots, sands, weathers, seasons and stars.
The film has been heralded as a “remarkable, experimental documentary – a playful, transformative collaboration with the natural world”.
