The regional district wants to know what residents think about using temporary use permits to allow vacation rentals.

The RDOS is conducting a survey in response to an increasing number of questions regarding vacation rentals in the region.

Various Advisory Planning Commissions have requested a review of the regulation and enforcement of these temporary permits.

Board chair Mark Pendergraft said they would like to assess interests and concerns about short-term rentals before considering possible changes to regulations.

The survey includes questions and asks respondents to consider various regulatory options.

The online survey is posted on the RDOS website and will be available for pickup at Osoyoos Town Hall and the regional head office in Penticton. The survey closes on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
