Jane (Jean) Boisclair

December 27, 1934 -
December 19, 2022

We are saddened to announce that on December 19, 2022 at the age of 87, Jane (Jean) Boisclair passed away at McKinney place in Oliver BC.

She would of turned 88 on December 27, 2022

She was predeceased by her spouse Leo Boisclair.

Jane is survived by her daughter Arlaine McGregor (Boisclair) and her husband Brian McGregor; grandchildren Ashton and Shawn.

Jane has lived in Oliver since she was 3 years old when the Krause family moved to Oliver from Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan.

She attended school in Oliver until she was 15, then decided to leave school and go to work at the packing house.

She worked a total of 50 years at the packing house as a packer and eventually a bin filler operator once the co-op packing house automated.

Jane loved to sing at family gatherings and would perform with a local country band from time to time for events or dances.

She loved dancing, bowling, listening to country western music, watching her soap operas on tv, and travelling with her husband through the southern USA.

She was a people person and loved just being with family and friends for any kind of social gathering.

Jane (Jean) was the most jovial, kindest, honest, generous person to all those who knew her.

She loved having visitors come see her and would always have a fresh pot of coffee on for all to enjoy while they chatted.

She loved hearing jokes and could tell a few too.

Jane had a heart of gold and even when she was going through some hard times herself, she would be there to lend a listening ear or give advice when asked. She was always there for others because she cared and had great empathy for those who were hurting.

She was the sweetest person and will be greatly missed by so many people who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date in 2023. A notification will be posted at that time.
