Rural Osoyoos director Mark Pendergraft has been re-elected as regional district chair once again.

The board held it elections during its inaugural meeting at Penticton Lakeside Resort on Nov. 10.

Elected as vice-chair was director Spencer Coyne, Mayor of Princeton.

The meeting also saw directors and alternate directors sworn in for the 2022-2026 term. This included Area C director Rick Knodel and his alternate Irwin Chahal.

While Pendergraft serves as Area A director, his alternate has yet to be appointed.

The regional board consists of elected representatives from nine electoral areas and appointed representatives from six member municipalities within the RDOS: City of Penticton, District of Summerland, Village of Keremeos, Town of Princeton, Town of Oliver, and Town of Osoyoos.

The Okanagan-Similkameen Regional Hospital District (OSRHD) board consists of the same members as the regional district.

Director Martin Johansen (Mayor of Oliver) was elected as board chair, while director Tim Roberts (Area G) was elected as vice-chair.
