A single-vehicle rollover in Oliver Friday night injured the female driver and her dog.

RCMP report that police, firefighters and paramedics responded to a rollover on Fairview Road at 11:20 p.m.

Police initiated an impaired driving investigation at the scene which resulted in a 90-day driving prohibition and a 30-day vehicle impound. The dog was taken by Animal Lifeline Emergency Response Team (A.L.E.R.T.) to a veterinarian in Kelowna for an exam.

The 25-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in Oliver then transported to Penticton hospital  with non life threatening injuries.

Oliver RCMP Sgt. Don Wrigglesworth said police would like to thank A.L.E.R.T. for their assistance and the Oliver Fire Department for the initial assessment of the patient and being able to get her up steep terrain to the ambulance.
