The Osoyoos Credit Union is the stage sponsor for four afternoons of performances during the Osoyoos Spring Festival which is being organized by the Osoyoos & District Arts Council.

“One of the core values of the Credit Union is community so any time we have an opportunity to assist a local organization to do something that is beneficial for the community as a whole we try to participate whenever we can,” said Anna Relvas, Financial Services Manager at Osoyoos Credit Union.

She added that the last couple of years have been slim in terms of events and while the Credit Union does have an annual intake for the community in which applications for funding are received and evaluated, ad-hoc requests such as this one for the Spring Festival are also accommodated if possible.

The event is a combination of ticketed performances in the evenings as well as free musical performances in the afternoons at the Veterans Way Plaza off Main Street in Osoyoos.

The free shows will feature local performers who will be performing on Wednesday, May 4 to Saturday, May 7 from 1-3 p.m.

Among the performers will be Vincent De Cowans, Jeff Smith with Wild Bill, Double Stop Creek, and Diane Ball.

The free performances will continue on Sunday, May 8, 1-3 p.m. with two musical acts – Moving Lines and Rebel Luv – performing at Gyro Park Bandshell.
