Ruth Rosa Turigan, age 94, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2021, at McKinney place in Oliver, BC.

She was born in Galahad, AB to Sophia and John Blumhagen, Ruth was 1 of 10 children raised in Galahad on the Family Farm. She married her husband Paul William Turigan Jan 1, 1946. They moved to Oliver, BC, in 1955 with their only child, daughter Diane.

Ruth and her husband Paul volunteered many Saturday mornings at the Oliver Senior Center for the Traditional Country Music Dances. Ruth helped with organizing and kitchen duties while her husband played violin with the band spanning over 25+ years.

Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Paul Turigan, a marriage of 69 years; her son in law, Alvin Krause; and all of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Krause; Grandchildren, Roxanne Dore (Bob), Steven Krause (Teresa); great grandchildren Ashley Dore (Chris), Brett Dore (Roya); great great grandchildren Libby LeMottee, Brooks Dore; and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth loved being outdoors, gardening, and spending time with her family, she took great pride with her red rose bush and oodles of potted petunias.
