Alice Annette Janzen
We are sad to announce the sudden passing of our mother Annette Janzen of Oliver, BC. She passed peacefully at the South Okanagan General Hospital with family by her side.
She was predeceased by her parents John and Annie Lyver, husband John Janzen and son Ross Janzen.
Lovingly remembered by son Don (Ingrid); daughter Barb (Mike); daughter Carolin (Peter); daughter-in-law Tabbie, grandchildren Islea, Faryn,Garret, Carley, Lyndsey, Micheala, MacKenzie; 14 siblings as well as many extended family and friends.
Annette was born in Kelowna, raised in Osoyoos and lived her adult life in Oliver. She worked for Oliver Co-Op Packing House in the ‘60s and K&C Silviculture Ltd.in the ‘80s with various jobs in between. We very much appreciated Mom’s talents for sewing, crocheting, knitting, baking and preserving foods. Annette played slow pitch and was an award winning bowler back in the day. Annette volunteered her time with the Legion. Her travels to Palm Springs, Mexico and Hawaii gave her many fond memories. Above all, she had a green thumb and loved spending time in her garden.
Enjoy the peace in your newly found garden Mom.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC.
Oliver Cemetery graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 4th at 11:00AM.
