Joseph Pinterick

March 14, 1931 – April 23, 2021

On Friday, April 23, 2021, Mr. Joseph Pinterick

of Oliver passed away peacefully at McKinney

Place Extended Care at the age of 90.

Joseph was born in Vukovar, Yugoslavia on

March 14, 1931, one of ten children. He immigrated

to Canada in 1951 and settled in Hamilton,

ON. He moved to Calgary, took up hairdressing

in 1960 and settled in Osoyoos in 1968.

Joseph bought the hair salon and operated it until

1986 when the business was sold to Janet Van Eysinga who is still hard at

work at the shop.

Joseph was very much involved in soccer as a player and later as a referee.

Later in life his love was his garden and wine making. He was predeceased by

his wife Dorothy on November 26, 2020.

Joseph will be fondly remembered by his niece Janet (Ralph) Van Eysinga and

great-niece Teresa, who he adored as well as many extended family.
