Oliver firefighters, police and ambulance responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 97 and Road 22 this morning.

Fire department spokesman Rob Graham said a pickup truck and a car collided at the intersection, resulting in two patients being sent to hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

Graham said the occupants exited the vehicle on their own, so no extrication was required.

The cause is still under investigation. The Times-Chronicle is awaiting further details from the RCMP.

As of 9:30 a.m., there was one fire department vehicle still on scene.
